I will start by saying I didn't know if I should share this post or not. But if this post can lift up any other creative and let them realize we all start somewhere then I'm going for it!

First of all, this family is very near and dear to my heart! They have supported me since day 1 of this business that was just a hobby to start with. Below I am going to share side by side images from one of their/my earliest sessions compared to my most recent session with them. I was proud of these images, talked about them and shared them with everybody.

Now I can look back and say thank you for education. I didn't know it all when I first started and I certainly don't know it all now. But when you can look back and see your own growth, that is a pretty good feeling!

We as photographers/creatives should inspire one another and lift one another up. We all start with a passion for capturing moments for others that will be carried down several generations.

That photographer that lives in your same area, they are not your competition.

That make-up artist, they are not your competition.

That florist, they are not your competition.

That wedding planner, they are not your competition.

That baker, they are not your competition.

What I want everyone to take away from this is, be your own person. Don't compare your work with anyone else because it's your own art. Whether it be a painting, photograph or a cake, It's yours and it's special so embrace it!
