Lauren's "Good Morning Beautiful" Wedding Experience
The moment when you arrive to the wedding venue and every detail as soon as you walk through the door is just perfection!!! Those are the moments I live for as a photographer! Lauren + Johnny had to fight a hurricane to make this wedding happen and oh my goodness did it happen!
First thing I do when I arrive the morning of a wedding I start with all the detail shots (Invitation suite, rings, flowers, shoes, jewelry, veil and of course the DRESS)! This is kind of my warm up part of the day and gets me feeling inspired and creative from the start! It also gives time for the people in the room to start getting comfortable with a photographer being there. You would be surprised at how many people get nervous and turn their heads at any point of the camera in their direction because they are just not comfortable yet! It's not everyday that you are getting your hair and make-up done that someone is snapping photos of you but these are some of the most special moments on a wedding day that you don't want to forget! It's the only time before your timeline turns into something to do every hour (ceremony, portraits, first dance, eating, bouquet toss, garter toss, cutting the cake, speeches.. it can get busy!!). So enjoy this time with your girls when you are getting ready and most importantly relaxing!
Once I'm done with most of the detail shots I start on the candid moments! These moments are certainly not planned out or posed. These are the times for drinking fruity drinks and getting pampered with your girls before the big day! All the hair and make-up shots you can get, all the sitting on the couch giggling with your girls, and also all the silly moments you share whether it be an inside joke or a song that comes on that's yalls song! Those are the special memories from the day you don't want to forget!
After about an hour or two I take myself in a new direction and head to the ceremony/reception area... if it is within walking distance of course! I take time to capture all the little details that the bride and groom have come up with whether it be signage, flowers, the cake and in Lauren + Johnny's case a cute little station of treats from their pup to yours!! ( HOW FREAKING CUTE?!)
I loved getting to be a small part of Lauren + Johnny's wedding day by getting to spend the morning with them! Their love for one another is amazing and I wish them all the best in years to come! Congrats again you two!
I hope you all enjoy some of my favorite images from their wedding morning and check out all the amazing vendors!
